The modern Lugano Convention & Exhibition venues provide large modular spaces to organise congresses, conferences, simultaneous sessions, seminars, workshops, exhibition of stands and scientific posters. In case of congresses with large attendance it is possible to rent several venues, located a few steps from each other. For instance, the Convention Centre is connected by an internal pedestrian route to Villa Ciani, which can host scientific poster displays. Just 50 meters away, Ex-Asilo Ciani is ideal for hosting group sessions, seminars, and workshops.
The facilities are managed by the Lugano Convention & Exhibition team, offering a customised consulting service and support throughout the organisation of the event.

In 40 years and 15 editions, the ICML Congress has grown from 550 participants in 1981 to almost 4000 in the last conference, from when communication existed through telephone booths to the presentation of the scientific program via streaming, evolving in collaboration with an enthusiastic team always in the search for solutions to new problems that have gradually arisen.
